A Material World in Crisis

Post Manuscript Reflection Intro: 11/24 -

For me, the material world and all its ever-changing anomalies and creations is still a strange and curious event. It is still strange and puzzling to me to think and contemplate that one day this self-aware embodied form with all its ever-changing thoughts, feelings, perceptions, views and experiences will be no more, and yet I fully accept and know this is simply the way things are in this material and conceptual world of constant change. As all spiritual teachings, past and present, remind and tell us, there is no permanence to be had and found in the things, forms, phenomena, dramas and creations of this ever-changing conditioned and conceptual material world.

Even now with all that I enthusiastically present and share here, both spiritually and philosophically, on this esoteric blog on the truth of reality, identity and experience, I am still slightly mystified and over-shadowed by its seeming meaningless, randomness and questionable profound and miraculous existence. Maybe it is simply a beautiful and strange mystery that is truly beyond us to really and fully unravel and solve in any genuine conclusive, agreeable and satisfactory way.

As I see and experience it, it is very easy to become and be very mentally and emotionally attached, identified and invested in this physical appearance and mental construct that we call mind and body, and all the ever-changing sensory worldly experiences and sensations that come with having them, despite knowing it will all be cast aside eventually. For me, this is an ever-present worldly and material puzzle that has always stayed with me; wanting, waiting and needing to be solved.

For me, it has always been somewhat puzzling and challenging to always observe, experience and accept an ever-changing and ageing material and conceptual world that is consistently plagued and impacted by hatred, cruelty, greed, hardship, poverty, sickness, loss, authoritarianism, conflict and inequality. This is not to say there are not beautiful things and rewarding phenomena and moments to experience, love, acquire and have in this temporary worldly and material experience and existence of living, ageing and dying, but as with all conditioned, created and conceptual things, creations, forms and phenomena, this too will all come to pass. As an embodied unique construct we have to let it all go in the end.

To simply love, celebrate and accept who we are, in and of itself, can be a day-to-day challenge for many of us, as well as dealing with the constant ebb and flow of worldly changes, dramas, expectations, demands and challenges we will all have to face in one way or another as we navigate, live and play out this ever-changing mortal coil. Conditioned and conceptual existence, by its very own nature, can make it challenging and hard for us to be consistently and fully content or satisfied in all that it offers, presents and is. It can be challenging to consistently and fully accept and make peace with the way things are.

Here we all are living a self-aware embodied experience and existence of awareness knowingly knowing with all certainty it will sooner or later end and we have no real certainty when. For me, it has always raised the contemplative question of who am I before I am and what am I when I no longer exist as a self-aware physical construct? Who am I? What is this?

                What is real?

And yet as a fully self-aware mind/body construct I am still baffled and puzzled by the reality of fully acknowledging, accepting and knowing the ever-present and harsh fact that, as I know my present self-aware embody existence to be, I will in some near or distant future and uncertain time not be present as this particular self-aware form in this ever-changing physical construct and reality of space, time and form.

For me, when considering this sole worldly fact alone it still completely amazes and baffles me that this ever-changing material and complex world is still so largely driven, shaped, dominated and impacted by inequality, intolerance, hatred, greed, prejudice, misery, conflict, war and authoritarianism. It is crazy to me that such a small minority of individuals have and own so much of the world's wealth and such a large proportion of the world population still have so little of it. Lets be clear, who actually needs £100 billion dollars to live such a short and fleeting existence? And so too with power. No individual in these present times should be trusted, let alone allowed, to have such extreme and unnecessary levels of wealth or power? I think, it puts all our lives at risk.

I do ask myself, how is it that we as a global community still allow such a small minority of individuals or group of individuals to have so much authority, power, wealth, status and control over all our lives even when so many of these selected or non-selected individuals do little or nothing to improve and better the world's population quality and ease of living, well-being, ageing, existing and dying? For me, this is certainly another unwelcome perplexing part of this world puzzle. Why do we as a shared species continue to allow, follow and accept a mostly consumerism world model that only serves a very tiny minority of people in simply increasing and protecting their already ridiculous and unnecessary levels of wealth, status, self-importance, control and power.

Of course with the spiritual and philosophical revelations offered here I do see and accept the beauty in and of it all beyond what is material and conceptual. With the mystery of it all I do still quietly marvel and celebrate at the very existence of what this life and world actually is and all the challenges, dramas, forms, creations and changes it delivers, offers and presents. Be its joys and the sorrows, its gains and the losses, its successes and the failures, its pleasures and pain. As I see it, we all exist now as a unique temporary self-aware embodied construct of all that has come to pass and we exist now as all that is yet to come. As I see it we are all the past, present and future as a temporary embodied self-aware moment of eternity. This is absolutely something I believe and feel we can all come to fully recognize, know, respect and celebrate in all the beauty and harshness of living, playing, ageing and dying. The on-going complexity and diversity of it all and its endless multiplicity of creations, forms and phenomena is its real beauty. As I see it, we all momentarily exist as an unique temporary expression of Reality in a space, time continuum that has unlimited potential and endless possibilities, both creative and destructive. Both loving and painful.

Personally I do not think the past and present day politics and religions have all the answers to what our future should look like. We live in a world that is still largely plagued by war, conflict, authoritarianism, greed, control, division, hatred, prejudice, intolerance and self-importance. With all the global environmental challenges and changes facing the future of humanity we urgently need a fully united and agreeable world leadership and consciousness and certainly not a divided one. World leaders or individuals pursuing their own self-interests and desires to have more power, wealth, ownership, control and authority will not bring a united world consciousness that will act in the best interests and needs of the environmental challenges and changes that we all have to face. I'd certainly like to think in the very near future that a new paradigm or world consciousness will reveal and show itself in all the unrest and conflict that plagues this present world. I would like to think that what is offered and presented here might contribute in some small way.

                Who knows?

All I know is we all deserve better than what most of us are still facing today. We are a world in crisis and it is urgently in need of a shift in consciousness and leadership, certainly if humanity is to survive.

My love and prayers to you all. Please help support and share this blog and a sincere thank you all. To all embodied souls who remain committed to love, freedom, unity and peace, I salute you. We need a united world not a divided one.

    Blessed be.

This esoteric blog is dedicated to my earthly mother 'Rita' who transitioned on the 12th December 2021. A truly selfless, kind, beautiful, spiritual and loving embodied soul, friend and mother.
